Tubing or “shooting the hooch” is unquestionably one of the most anticipated and popular events in Helen.
https://www.coolrivertubing.com/ officially kicks off tubing season Memorial Day weekend. We make it convenient for you to tube when you stay at any of the Freedom Finder cabins. There’s no need to pack beach towels. We provide them. We also have dry bags so you won’t have to worry about losing your keys, phone, or wallet. If you’re bringing your fur baby, dogs are welcome to float with you!
While there are tons of cool things to experience in and around Helen, Freedom Finder cabin has some pretty incredible amenities that you’ll remember for years to come. We’re the only cabin in the state with a 2-person hammock made for star-gazing. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind experience, you’ll find it here. Nicknamed, “The Stargazer”, it’s made for 2 people to lounge and take in the beauty of the incredibly bright stars. If you happen to be staying on a cloudy night, it has string lights installed or just enjoy the ambiance of the landscape lighting.
Who doesn’t love waterfalls? There are tons of waterfalls in the area, each with unique features.
https://gastateparks.org/MoccasinCreek is a truly magical state park. The trail to Hemlock Falls is an easy trail with numerous smaller falls and a bridge crossing. If you want to swim at the base of the falls, this is the trail for you. Bring your bathing suit and your water shoes. The water is shallow enough to wade to the falls. If you go during the week, there’s a good chance there won’t be many people there, so pack a picnic lunch and plan a day the family won’t soon forget.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, but it gives you a little insight into planning your next vacation. I’ll follow-up with more fun and exciting things to make your summer memorable while at the cabin or exploring the area.
